Rarer than a Republican midterm win!
We’ve talked a lot about the Serie Speciale on the blog lately, and as rare as they are, what’s actually rare — and misunderstood – are the final fifteen “Continuation” cars Ferrari produced for the 1994 model year. They’re so rare, in fact, this intrepid blogger had never even seen a picture of one until yesterday.
That’s right, one of the final 15 Serie Speciales just materialized on BaT and I’m here to nitpick it. The problem is, with this being the only one of the fifteen to ever be documented, I’m not entirely sure what’s correct.
I’ll point out what I see, including obvious flaws, but buyer beware with this beauty. I just don’t know what I’m supposed to be looking at. I will say this: it appears to be really clean.

My thoughts:
- Should this car have a lip spoiler? If it’s just missing, there should be lots of mounting holes on the underside of the bumper. Ask for a pic.
- Are the door cards correct? I imagine so, but it’s interesting to note they are Spider-spec unlike the earlier SSs.
- Make sure the passive belts are working.
- Is the metal shift knob correct, or was it replaced? I just don’t know.
- I was always told the Continuation cars didn’t have “Speciale” badging in the interior. This one clearly does.
