Today’s very unique 348 Spider comes to us via Bring a Trailer where it is being listed by a private seller out of Monterey, California.
The condition is unusually strong, and the miles are relatively low, but the story here is the color – Verde Scuro.
I must admit, I have never seen another Ferrari in this shade, let alone a 348, and I think I know why. It’s not very pretty. I find it drab, like something from the 1984 G.I. Joe toy catalog; this particular paint job seems to have excessive orange-peel as well.
I don’t doubt that the rarity of this shade will sell this car with ease. I also imagine it might end up being one the highest hammers we’ve seen on a 348 in ages, but it isn’t for me. Call me new-money all you like, but I prefer Rosso over Verde.
