The spider is by far my favorite iteration of the 348 and I think one look at this example makes it clear why. Top up or down the spider reeks 80s and 90s conspicuous consumption with every sexy detail. Perhaps tame by modern standards, I can assure younger readers that this shape dropped as many boxers as Bridget Fonda in the early 90s.
That said, today’s car is brought to us as a Bring a Trailer alumni listing in a less conspicuous shade of Grigio Metallic, a black top, and stunning blue leather interior with a matching tonneau cover. The patina on this leather is to die for.
You won’t be winning any concours events with the car in its current condition, but who cares. As a driver this thing looks wonderful. Or you could restore it and have an extremely unique 348 with which to impress judges on a lawn somewhere. Either way, I say bid away!
